No booting with new build

Hello guys,

I am currently working on a new build for my little brother.

The specs are:
mobo: ASRock Fatal1ty B85 Killer
cpu: Intel i5 4460 / 3.2 Ghz + stock cooler
memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport - 8GB 1600mhz
psu: be quiet! Pure Power L7 350W

I have hooked up everything but the machine doesn't want to boot. I initially thought it was the power button but simply using a paperclip to touch the power pins doesn't do anything either. What else can I try to do?

I've made sure the motherboard isn't touching anything it shouldn't be and also made sure the power supply works. The weird thing is that when I flip the switch on the power supply I do see the light next to the network port burning for a few seconds. I also see lights on the dedicated graphics card (which isn't in the picture).

Welcome to the forums. Double check all connections by reseating, especially the cpu connector
