I don't think so, the 14th generation desktop i9 processor is a simple evolution of the 13th generation processors while the ultra ones are an important evolution of the architecture. It is a soc type architecture with tiles and at least 2 engraving technologies. It's not a monolith, Intel technology will make it work like a monolith.

    Ok,
So, you mean 14-gen intel core vs 14-gen intel core Ultra are completely different intel products? But, in the same generation 14...?

    Yes completely different.
The old name Intel ended with the 13th generation processors (or 14th generation) the new name is ultra and starts with the 14th generation at least for laptops. Maybe on desktops it will be ultra 15th generation and different from ultra 14th generation. overall it's a mess at the moment with the new Intel processors to come, code names and which ones will be on desktops and laptops, the roadmap is not clear.

    No, not yet for sale.

Intel 14th generation (13th generation refresh) is the last generation of the old architecture. The new one, the ultra, is the first generation, codenamed meteor lake. On the web it is possible that some websites name the first generation of ultra 14th generation or 15th generation. Look for ultra this will be the new architecture.
The 2 processors you give is the old architecture.

Edit: Ultra first generation 1xx, ultra 7 1xx, ultra 5 1xx. There will surely be an ultra 9 1xx

Yes, there will undoubtedly be an announcement, it will be the new architecture for desktop which competes with AMD. On the web also there will be the resumption of the announcement and until their sale, articles and reviens.

At CES 2024 Intel indicated, without going into details, the arrow lake processors (arrow lake S for desktop and other letters for laptop). This is the new architecture of the ultra indicated above of the meteor lake of the laptops already released (type soc with tiles...). It will be on a new socket, the 1851. Intel has not indicated whether they will be named ultra or 15th generation.
