I forgot sounds cards are mainly x1 for a while now so if that is the case and the motherboard has the slots for it then choose those instead. Overall it won't matter to much where you put it. Aesthetically pleasing would suffice so which ever slot it looks good to you.

if there is no x1 slots it would actually be better come to think of it to put it in the x4 slot because it wont change your GPU pcie slot to x8.

That must be why mine works like that. I have it plugged into the x4 chipset slot, not one of the CPU PCIe slots. I get x16 on my GPU.

For RAM... just go here and fill in the three boxes and click on Search.

On the left side choose the quantity... like 2x16GB, or whatever. (Get a two stick set)
And choose the frequency... then pick the RAM you like with the lowest CAS Latency.

It doesn't get much easier than that.

Also, for the motherboard... get the newest chipset.
The ASUS TUF motherboards are a good balance between quality and price.

Hey, thanks for getting back to me.

5200 ram speed sounds like more than enough to me, not going above that shouldn't be an issue.

The X670E-E Gaming looks good and all, the pricetag still isnt justified.
I don't care if i can disable the wifi, i will simply never use it.
Asus should make boards without wifi.
Operatingsystems like microsoftwindows certainly will abuse the boardwifi to run some crap like delivery optimization without users awareness or consent.

The user who wrote the review was aware about fastboot, i didn't copy paste the full review.

I agree malneb's explanation was great.

No need to explain to take reviews with a grain of salt, this is logical thinking / common sense.
Reviews are still worth alot to avoid potential issues and certainly worth more than disturbing marketing that has nothing to do with reality.
The website i use to read reviews grants access to reviews from favrious sources not just one site, it lets me read everything 10 stars all the way down to 1 star reviews, the negatives dont stand out in any way.

I thought only amds current gpus support pcie 5.o while nvidia is still behind with pcie 4.0
The gpu i ment is precisely the one i mentioned, ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC 16GB, some vendors call it TS

No need for EXPO sounds very wrong in my ears, from what i know EXPO is amds equivalent to intels XMP.
XMP means the ram will support higher speeds, run at optimal value. Buying xmp dual memory capable ram and not using it makes no sense.
So the same goes for EXPO. If that 5200 ram works with EXPO all is fine, if it doesnt i will hold on to purchase anything.
I have no experience with manually overclocking ram in the bios but good experience with xmp, it might be worth a try but whats the point when there is expo.
When you say RAM is certified AMD compatible, is this your surce? https://www.amd.com/en/products/ryze...atible-memory/
Thats some useful stuff you said right there.
Sadly the CMK32GX5M2B5200C40 Corsair Vengeance 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-5200 CL40 Memory does not appear in the list.
My current ddr4 memory also isnt on the list but works flawless.

GPU support bracket sounds very useful, are there specific ones to be recommended which can be adjusted?

After all its a tuff question to decide buying a pc now or wait for the nvidia 50series with gddr7 vram and displayport 2.1 where nvidias current gpus use DP 1.4a
I wanted to go AMD this time because they offered FSR to nvidia users for free, thats a big plus in reputation.
But also the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D is the most efficent cpu right now, according to gamersnexus who does excellent work.
Then again even AMD has an NSA backdoor (PSP) equivalent to intels ME, first i thought that could be disabled in bios but that would have been way to easy.
Why is there no opensource cpu, what about RISC-V?

    ------------------

Just saw the second comment page,
Are you saying malneb, if i have a board with three pcie slots i should mount the gpu at the upper one and the soundcard to the lowest one leaving the center one free and so in this scenario the gpu will run at x16 and the soundcard at x1?
How do i verify if my gpu runs at x16? gpuz says bus interface: pcie x16 3.0 @ x16 1.1, not sure what to do with that.

PS, where you said For RAM... just go here, i see no link

They used to, I got a new Desktop back in 2016 and it had an Add-in PCIe X4 Wireless card, worked well but I needed the slot for a different card. I still have the card but the case plastics started falling apart so took the computer out of service.

Any suggestions on which GPU support bracket to pick and should i purchase 2x140mm fans or 3x120mm fansfor the Corsair 4000D Airflow ATX Mid Tower Case? Also, any suggestions on which case-fans i should get?
If you need more details, the GPU support bracket should be compatible with the ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER OC 16GB or future nvidia 50 series cards.
The fans should be quiet and cooling efficent.
Last question, what are normal temps for the AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D during idle, browsing, streaming, gaming?

The graphics card should come with a bracket.

Not always. My ASUS 3070 Ti didn't come with one.

The model they are asking for does come with a brace post it doubles as a screwdriver but is meant to support the GPU.
it may not be ideal they are good i think better than a bracket but may not work depending on case design or setup.

if the brace is not an option then any bracket that will go in a double bracket provision will work. Single is ok but you want the extra screw for security.
