Looking for a simple fan speed utility

I'd like to get a fan speed utility to control fan speeds of all my system fans. I've been looking at many but most have a ton more features than I want or understand. Does anyone have any suggestions for a simple utility that will do the job, show me the speeds of all system fans without getting too overboard in features.

    Thanks in advance

I have used Speedfan in the past. I think it is still available, but it might be an older version that doesn't work with newer motherboards.

Just be careful when you download it. There are a lot of weird links on the page that might be malware...

Thanks, if it is older a I would prefer to something up to date. The one a lot of people suggest online is
Rem0o/FanControl but as easy as it looks it has more than I need but do all fan speed utilities have the same features?

A YouTuber computer geek I follow suggests this one, if you care to see his review here it is,

The speed may be controllable from the motherboard, in the BIOS and/or official software of the motherboard.

Edit: I think that with complex software you will be able to get to the basics, controlling the fans, without worrying about the complexity.

I was thinking that just be cause it has more features doesn't mean I have to use them all. I know it can be done in the BIOS but I want something I can look at quick and not need to reboot. So in your edit, are you saying the software I posted the YouTube about seems good to you?

Any fans that are plugged into the motherboard, are controllable in the BIOS (CPU and case fans).

Yes but my goal is not to have to go into the BIOS to change fans settings

Generally, you set a fan curve, so you don't have to keep going into the BIOS.
Then the fans will adjust automatically based on temperature.

For example... these are the fan curves for my two vid card fans. I set them back in May 2020, and haven't had to change them yet. The program is EVGA Precision X! for EVGA vid cards...

yes that is what I did when I built this system several months ago but when I did the fresh install of Windows 10 going back from Win 11 the settings in the BIOS changed... Not sure why?

I was trying to get logged into MSI forum to get some help settings the fans up in BIOS properly but the site is down today and tomorrow...

Still a desktop software that does it for you and gives you the ability to change on the go is appealing

If you updated the BIOS the settings probably went back to defaults?

Agreed. MSI probably makes an app that will do that. They already make MSI Afterburner for vid cards.
