Advice on purchasing a new system

Hello

Please tell me your opinion about this new system that I considered for purchase?
The first setup is more powerful and the second setup is more economical
Are the selected parts compatible?
with minimal Bottleneck

PC build #1 :

CPU: Intel Core i7-13700 Raptor Lake

Cooler: Noctua NH-U12A Chromax.Black or DeepCool AK620
The processor cooler must be air, I am not interested in water cooler

MB: Asus ROG Strix B760-F Gaming WiFi

RAM: GSkill Trident Z5 RGB 32GB Dual 5600MHz CL36 x 2 = 64 GB
Is the speed of 5600 enough for RAM? Or should I go to 6400 speed?

GPU: ASUS TUF GAMING RTX 4070 Ti 12G

SSD: Samsung 990 PRO PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 2280 NVMe 1TB M.2

PSU: ASUS ROG STRIX 850W Gold Aura Edition

I do these things with the system, from surfing the web and watching movies and series to working with Photoshop and editing movies and photos and sometimes playing games.
I want to be comfortable for 5 or 6 years and not buy a new system
The life of my current system is almost 10 years and I would not have upgraded it to a new system if it had not had the problem of Windows freezing.

It's overkill. And expensive. Also consider a AMD Rysen 7
I don't think you will ever use all the power, unless you going to use on games

Processor Base Power - 65 W
Maximum Turbo Power - 219 W

The nominal for the Noctua is 169 and it is very big
NH-U12A chromax.black
Noctua’s Standardised Performance Rating (NSPR) and compatibility classification for CPU coolers
I would use a liquid cooler.

I have no problem with the cost and I'm just a fan of intel and nvidia
I am not interested in amd processors
Please tell me your opinion about the coordination of parts and my suggested configuration
You are right about heat dissipation, but I want air cooling
If you know a more suitable air cooler, please suggest me, I couldn't find anything stronger

Yes we are still on that same trajectory so this PC will also last 10 years and beyond if you look after it. Unless they come with some new innovations that drastically change the landscape then imo we are due for a plateau anyway because we can only go so far atm.

The LGA needs to get bigger and everything needs to get closer to the CPU, VRM are getting bigger and GPU are getting bigger. Realistically this means that we can only go so far until we hit the limit which that limit is pretty due imo as the parts will get to unwieldy otherwise and heat is a big issue atm and another reason why parts are so big atm.

Basically in a long winded way i am saying that computers are about to slow right down in terms of gains. Just my assumed prediction here.

Unless things change drastically then there is no reason that this new Computer can't serve you another 10 to 15 years.

GDDR7 is coming and some other tech but atm they are trying to do a lot in small confounds, ironically the parts are not small because they are big but they need to go bigger than what they are if we continue on the same timeline. Computers go vertically and horizontally in progression atm they need to lean more towards being horizontal because the former is the more dominate.

You made some excellent choices since I just built a very similar PC! I and suggest the following

Buy the i7-13700K for slightly more as I did. The K version has a built in GPU which is useful if your plug in GPU has problems.
The Asus ROG Strix boards have a very large VRM cover which causes incompatibility problems with many Noctua coolers. I had to swap the Strix board I had bought for the TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI for me to reuse my Noctua NH-D14 cooler. Check the excellent motherboard compatibility checker. Yours seems OK.
I chose a Kingston 2TB KC3000 NVME SSD and 64GB Kingston Fury Beast RAM

The CPU is only throttled when running Cinebench. I chose to set a maximum CPU temperature of 85C in the BIOS which still gives about 95% of the maximum Cinebench score for the CPU. Otherwise my idle temperature is 32C and 50C to 60C running games using the legacy Noctua NH-D14 cooler. I also used Thermal Grizzly CPU compound and added Noctua top and bottom case fans to improve the airflow.

So does the i7-13700 and all the sku that don't have F suffix.

Samsung suxx...

Cut that RAM in half to just 32 GB. No, memory speed is NOT a major factor for you based on what you're gong to primarily do with the PC.

Now that you saved on RAM cost using a logical 32 GB instead of 64 GB, up the NVMe to 2 TB instead of a lousy 1 TB (you'll thank me latter). Amazon.com

Don't be a typical PC user among the Samsung/G.Skill/Noctua primordial soup...

Rebates can be hit and miss and I honestly think are a faux Promo. But ya never know...

Focus on CPU socket longevity... LGA 1700 should be around for some time... By the time you go and max out what the MOBO is capable of in the CPU department, it should be waaay cheaper to do so. I maxed out my current old rig's CPU capability... And guess what? I can play ARK, COD, etc with no issues... Yet, this thing is ancient by PC time standards.
