Is it possible to add remote power control to my PC?

    Hello there,

You can see my pc build here:

    Parts

The power button on my PC case is aging and it takes several clicks on it before my pc powers on. I'm afraid at one point it will no longer work and for that sole reason to break the pc down and rebuild it entirely in a new case seems to be stupid and very annoying lol.

Therefore it seems more interesting to make a backup for that eventually, that will continue to work if the main button no longer is responsive.

I still have a PCIe x16 Slot available on the motherboard but not sure I got room to connect it to the power supply. I remember that my old motherboard had a power button on it and this was very useful. The one I have now does not however.

Managed to resolve this but yet to test for longer duration that it really works...

Yes there is several ways you can boot a computer choose one. You can even power it on by your keyboard or another computer or device like a phone if you want, or just buy a replacement button.

I don't think its possible to just replace that specific part of the Corsair Obsidian Series 800D ATX Full Tower Case.

As stated above, have a look at this > How to Enable or Disable Wake on LAN (WOL) in Windows 10

Especially have a look at the Related Tutorials at the BOTTOM of the above Tutorial as they may also be related.

    I hope this helps.

It will be a standard 'off-the-shelf' switch, if not something else can be made to fit.
