Want to get an SSD for my PC

total cost just approx 200 bucks which I think is a good deal right? I'm looking for best price for value combo. I've ran on HDD's all my life so I'm certain I'll notice when I'm running on an SSD. Also can I just use Macrium image restore on the SSD without issues? So from an HDD to an SSD.

Better to stay with 980 Pro for both , system and games. Just make 2 partitions and you'll be fine. Any SSD will be step up, but those 2 are in different league.

Macrium will do fine with SSD.

Would the quality and performance be quite alot of change to the upside, if I choose instead the WD Black SN850X 2TB M.2 SSD?

If the warranty is the same... sure.
Generally, Western Digital Blue and Green have really short warranties.

WD SN570 is a good drive, also has stable overall reviews, but it's not in the same category as Samsung 980 pro.

And it is true, that you probably wouldn't notice the difference.

So why I've advised 980 pro? Currently there is such a small price difference between a good average SSD (WD SN570=130€) and some top SSD's (samsung 980 pro, Kingston KC3000 = 170€ and maybe WD SN770) that I would buy one of the top drives, if top speed and reliability would be important to me.

Buy one of the top drives that has the best price. In Europe those are currently Samsung 980 Pro and Kingston KC3000. If you get WD SN850X for the same price, then flip a coin ;-)

Second options are WD SN570 (PCIe 3), WD SN770 (PCIe 4) (better) or Samsung EVO 970 Plus (a bit more expensive)

Thank you everyone for your help! It is really much appreciated. After much consideration I have decided to go for WD Black SN850X 2TB M.2 SSD as gaming drive and as OS drive the Samsung 980 500GB M.2 SSD.
