new GPU and CPU water cooler - troubleshooting

Hello, i am trying to assist my son with help on his new GPU that we upgraded from a MSI nvidia 1050ti to ASus Geforce 3070 ti GPU.
we ran DDU uninstall utlity first then installed the new GPU and ran geforce experince install fresh with both drivers and Geforce exp.
everything is working as it should he started to play Apex legends with superior performance.
To note his monitor is a Asus tuf gaming monitor - 144hz

We also just upgraded the heat sink to a Corsair h100i elite capellix water cooler and it works great so far

I also upgraded his HDD to a onboard Samsung M2 drive.

Questions are what is causing huge spike with Battlefield V ?

what other settings do we need to check .

what should we set the fans too for iCUE

what do you recommend to set MSI afterburner too?

we noticed the CPU cooler fans will go really high at 100 cpu obvious reasons.

we installed Bitdefender AV as i have sub to it for 5 devices i hope that is not causing it, I turned it off and still same issue.

also how can i monitor his PC hardware remotely from my machine?

    Hello

In MSI Afterburner, go to the General Tab and make sure you take the tick out of the box at the top which says 'Synchronize settings for similar graphics processors'. Big hit i found.

Definitely make use of the 'RivaTuner Statistics' for On Screen Display.
Select the 'Monitoring' tab and carefully go through all of the options you would like to see, so enable OSD. Keep the columns low. History logging is there. Enable the Show tray icon.

Now next tab along, 'On-Screen Display'. This is for toggle key options whilst in 3D mode. Setup how you want.
    Apply all of that.

You'll now see a new icon in the system tray, 'RivaTuner' with all the monitoring options.
Plus you should also see the FB usage, see if you're running out of ram, plus GPU temp displayed as a text.

Load up your game. Try the new toggle keys you set. Enable the application and then for On-Screen Display. This will show you the graphs for areas you selected to try and diagnose where the spikes maybe coming from.

Its a very detailed performance graph. When i used this years ago on a certain PC car simulator, triple screen eyefinity. It ran like crap with rubbish performance. 2x R9 270s. Couldnt figure it out. Software company kept telling me it was my hardware.
After some comparison test graphs of the two PCI-e slots in crossfire mode. It turned out that the 2nd PCI-e slot wasnt even doing anything.
To prove to the software developers it wasnt my hardware, i ran another game in the same crossfire mode, and both slots now performed on the same level.
Took a screen shot of the graph, showed the developers on the forum what was happening. Next update, they fixed it !!
    Happy days

    Good luck on this

Temps most likely spiked because the thermal paste isn't cured yet it needs a few days to a week to cure for best results.

Your temps should mellow out after a while also i use different paste then the one the Waterblock uses not that it's bad i just prefer to use what i use lol.

Expensive thermal compound for me these days is just a gimmick and a waste of money. And im not trying to be funny here either.
Ive had so many core 2 quads and motherboards in the past. Couple of socket 1150's and a few i5's. Could switch a chip with a blind fold on.

This might sound stupid to some of you, and you'd never ever dare try anything that seems stupid in your head, but the last few heatsinks ive cleaned up ready for a chip, i used 'Sudocrem', Yep, nappy rash cream. Works a treat. Tub costs like less than £4. Thats like a million processor installs, and more.

Nobody said anything about expensive paste ,just said i don't use the one that comes on the block big difference lol.
All i can say is your build your money ,I don't argue about what's better because everyone has their ways

    Good man

I dont think my stupid idea had anything to do with a budget in mind. It was more like, 'lets see if Sudocrem can handle it'

    It can

I've watched videos of guys testing all kinds of paste creams and even Vaseline doesn't surprise me one bit .

Thank you all for the info i will mull over it. also we made up the choice to replace the MB and CPU as it seems to be a bottleneck since we got him the 3070ti geforce GPU.
here is the new hardware -- we are going to use the same ram from his old MB and use this MB and CPU instead to increase performance.

    Intel Core i9-11900K - Core i9 11th Gen Rocket Lake 8-Core 3.5 GHz LGA 1200 125W Intel UHD Graphics 750 Desktop Processor - BX8070811900K - Newegg.com

ASUS ROG STRIX Z590-A GAMING WIFI LGA 1200 ATX Intel Motherboard - Newegg.com

Where are you located in California because you can go to microcenter for a package deal
I have the same board but use a 10850k @5.1Ghz all core mem 3866mhz you'll take full advantage with high speed ram
