Guess it's a good thing you can get it any of these places in the UK...

    Crucial Ballistix 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3200 CL16 Memory (BL2K16G32C16U4B) - PCPartPicker

There's always the 2x8GB option - maybe 32GB is overkill

You need to push on both tabs (both at the same time, so use both hands for this) on either side of the RAM slot, and push on them in such a way that they will tilt a few millimeters away from the RAM stick so it will unlock. Further, I find that G.Skill Ripjaws are dependable, vey high quality at a more affordable price compared to top brands like Kingston/Corsair/Crucial/etc..

Hmm... Crucial looks to be the cheaper option, if you are in the UK.

You can find it many places, but not at that special crucial price of £85 for 2x16gb.

    2x8gb might be plenty.

There is video of somebody changing to 2x8gb and it is a noticeable improvement to take advantage of dual channel.

Cant remember if the machine was an omen or a legend, but the principle is the same.

This machine is super slick as it is - getting really high performances from all the games I'm playing on it (and it's more than adequate for illustration work). Still can be glitchy so more RAM wouldn't hurt. I'm told that for the latest Elite Dangerous DLC: Odyssey I could probably use another 8GB though, but I don't know yet (waiting for a nice Xmas sale)

Your PC support HyperX® 16 GB DDR4-3200 XMP SDRAM memory (2x8 GB) (expandable to 32 GB unbuffered with 16 GB DIMMs).

So should I stick with the same model or go for Ballistix? Maybe I'm inviting unknown issues to arise by putting in a different model of RAM..

If you want to use dual-channel or other multi-channel memory architecture, use same model of RAMs.

Does not really matter what brand as long as it is a well known one, and the right specs.

One thing for sure, buy your modules in a Kit of 2 which ensures Dual Channel operation as the modules are almost the same i.e. from the same production batch.

Prices seem to be low at the moment, I suspect that may change to an upward direction, that is guesswork as always.

My Desktop has 32 GB of DDR4 Kingston Fury HyperX (that is now Fury Beast).

    e.g.

The Laptop now has 16 GB of Crucial Memory, cheaper at a UK supplier than direct from Crucial.
That used to be 8 GB of Samsung Memory, same specs.
