You went for ddr4 - according to hardware unboxed that is wise.

My current desktop rig is only about 1 year old, I built it in December of 2020....so not going to be making any substantial changes to it for another 2 years or so.
But these Alder Lake CPU's look quite impressive and will certainly keep AMD on their toes.
I'm in the same boat, updated to my current Ryzen 5900x based system at the end of April this year. The only thing I'll be updating next year is the GPU. The current GTX1650 is rather dated.
I agree these new Intel processors are interesting CPU's.

You need your own power station to run that.

Yeah think my next upgrades will be CPU Cooler on this Intel 10700 Desktop soon as can, then next year if video card prices back to normal--then a newer RTX capable video card, and probably larger power supply to go with that--Thinking maybe 750 Watt or 850 watt from EVGA G3 650 Watt Currently

Other Specs are Listed under System 1 For Desktop 1
Desktop 1 is running Windows 11 Pro, i still need to update the specs to reflect that lol

All finished building... Bench marked Asus TUF GAMING Z690-PLUS WIFI D4 Performance Results - UserBenchmark could do with a newer graphics card if they ever on sale again at normal prices
