Your view on some new components

    Hi All,
Well last night my wife spilled drink on her desktop and zapped the motherboard on her Dual-core x38 system. So I am looking into some new upgrade components for my system and give her my system.
Below are the components I was considering after a couple hrs of searching for what may work togather. I do not want to spend a lot of money but want something that is in my budget for now. I can always upgrade, etc later. I plan to use my 1TB M.2 PCI3.0 SSD for the OS for now until I get funds to buy the PCI4 M.2 to use that slot. I am not going to look into the AMD related components at this time.

Asus ROG Strix Z590-A Gaming WiFi 6 LGA 1200 (Intel 11/10thGen Motherboard
    Intel Core i7-11700K - Core i7 11th Gen Rocket Lake 8-Core 3.6 GHz LGA 1200
    Corsair Vengeance LPX 32GB (2X16GB) DDR4 Dram 3600MHz (PC4-28800) C18 Kit

Note: I changed from the Prime-A to the ROG Strix motherboard for just 30 bucks, and changed the ram from 4 sticks to 2 for now on Ghot's recommending.

I would like your opinion as to these 3 components working togather.
    Greatly appreciate any replies.

You will also need a premium cooling solution to exploit these nice components.

    I like Patriot RAM !

    RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Royal 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR4-3600 CL16 Memory (F4-3600C16D-32GTRGC) - PCPartPicker

I have G.Skill in my system now but in my search I didn't seem to find any suitable G.Skill low profile ram. So I went with corsair LPX. I forgot to mention in my post that I have the Noctua NH-15 air cooler. Sorry about that.

I always used Corsair, but they have pretty much let their Memory Finder fall by the wayside, so I switched to Gskill.
Gskill also has RAM with much better CAS latencies.

On a side note... when buying RAM, try to get the total amount you want in as few sticks as possible.
It's much easier for the RAM manufacturer, to get TWO sticks matched and stable, than it is to get four sticks, matched and stable.

I cant really tell because I use Samsung all the way for storage... But I can certify Patriot Ram Going 5.5 Ghz all day long doing business stuff without crashes / errors.

These machines View / Displays on up to 9 monitors / and at the same time Records up to 64 HD stream at the time...

There is no complaint for stability from the customers just maybe just some slugginess sometimes.

and I doubt any current game could put an equivalent processing stress on a computer compared to a complete proprietary software like that... sometimes there are Hundreds of encoding process going on...

Sometimes there is hundreds of clients connected and CPU reaches 75% at 85C for "veryyyy Extended periods"

So since they are faithful in applications environment I would think In gaming... they would too.

    No ???

And I used gaming boards to make them.

Good point about the 2 sticks instead of 4 sticks. But I thought I read on google or seen something on youtube about having all 4 ram slots filled for 11 Gen. Geez I am going to have to go back in the browser history tomorrow and see if I can find that. I am going to get away from my computer and watch a movie to clear my head lol.

I greatly appreciate all the replies to my post and I will come back in the morning to give a update on what I find.
    Thanks again

The mention of x38 in the first post suggests the 32-bit [x86] version of Windows and it's my understanding you may need 32-bit version of Win10 but the 64-bit may be usable. And if going with Win11 my readings shows the 32-bit is not a possibility, new hardware for 32-bit may not be available. But I'm not completely up on that, just got a new 14" Notebook with Win10 Pro, after setup then updated was offered Win11 Pro. When shopping I was looking for something about Win11 since the release was just a couple weeks ago, most I looked at had a notation to being licensed for Win11.

I wasn't exactly in the mood to spend money but none of my quite-good machines meet the new requirements and I needed to have one I to learn about against the time one of my clients wants to upgrade. Today is the first I haven't talked to someone about the EOL of Win10.

Thanks for your reply. I should have said the damaged motherboard is Asus P5E3 Deluxe x38. It is 64-bit and Windows 10 Pro was running great on it. It's a pity it is no longer functioning

@Ghot I was wrong about all the ram slots had to be filled. I found the video and the ram can be overclocked to 5333 mhz with one stick but the more you add the speed decreases. So you are right, I will look for 2 sticks instead of 4.
Thanks for mentioning that to me.
