Mobo recommendation for Ryzen 5 5600X

I appreciate the recommendation of the motherboard. I am struggling with a one I bought for my new build for over two months. I start wondering whether I should try another one from the same vendor or switch to some other brand.

The problem symptom is that restoring a backup cannot be done consistently and bootable media(Windows installer, third party software) does not consistently boot, etc.
Once a system is installed or restored on the SATA or the NVMe drive, it appears to boot and operate without issue.

I appreciate suggestions from anyone who uses Ryzen 5 5000X series CPU.

What motherboard are you using now?

I'm running my 5900X on an Asus ROG Strix X570e Gaming board, and my wife's 5600X on an Asus Tuf Gaming X750 Pro Plus Wifi. Both have been extremely reliable.

My 5900X is on an X570 Asus Crosshair Viii Hero. It's been very reliable.

Perhaps look at the new X570S boards which do not have the chipset cooling fan. I would only consider Asus & Gigabyte boards based on their good support and good UK warranty.

Thank you everyone for your responses.
Let me ask a couple of questions about Asus motherboards mentioned:
    1. Does the mobo comes with a speaker for the POST beep?
    2. Does the BIOS display a boot menu when a specific key is tapped? (Mine does when F12 is tapped while the machine is starting)
    3. Did you restore on the new machine a system backup created on your old machine?
    4. What is the system drive style (MBR or GPT) and the boot mode(Legacy or UEFI)?
    5. Does it support W7?

    1. No. But you can get them for about $1 each on Amazon.
    Amazon.com
    2. ASUS boards, use the DEL key to enter the BIOS and the F8 key to access the boot menu.
    3. You can. But it's better, much better to do a clean install on a new motherboard, due to drivers.
    4. Legacy goes with MBR, UEFI goes with GPT.
    5. Probably. To be sure, Google the make/model, go to the website, see if they have W7 drivers available.

    6. You can use a W7 key to activate W10 or W11.
    7. You can also download the motherboard manual from the ASUS website.

Warning: If Amazon is the ONLY etailer that has an item in stock, they will seriously jack up the price.

I believe F2 or Delete key is for launching BIOS settings. The boot menu shows a list of all drives and clicking on any of them will boot from that drive if it is bootable. This is not for setting boot priority.
