    Installing a second nvm.2 drive

    Hi
I'm getting a new second drive and would appreciate step by step instructions. I never done this before so I will provide a picture of my laptop .
this drive is a 1tb. It's double the size of what I have and apparently faster.
I would like to use the new drive as C drive and the second drive as a documents drive.
All comments or instruction will be greatly appreciated.
    Thank youInstalling a second nvm.2 drive-screenshot-334-.pngInstalling a second nvm.2 drive-screenshot-333-.png

Create an up-to-date image of the existing drive.
As the new drive is larger than the existing drive, the image can be restored and you'll be left with unallocated space. You can easily extend the patition(s) into that, after all is done.
    Create a Macrium boot USB
Swap over the drives - leave the old/existing drive disconnected for the moment
    Boot from the Macrium USB
Connect the drive that has the image on it
Locate the image, and restore the image to the new drive
    Remove the USB, re-boot
Windows up and running ... excellent
Connect the old dive, wipe and repartition for data storage.

Extend the partition(s) on the new drive to take up the unallocated space. Whilst this can be done through Windows Disk Management, I recommend and much prefer the easier GUI of freeware versions of programs like EaseUS Partition Master and/or AOMEI Partition Assistant.

EDIT : resist the cloning option. Forums on the internet have many more questions from users with cloning problems than questions about unsuccessful imaging > restoring.

And I`ll just add this. Make sure you copy ALL of the partitions on the source drive when you create a image.

It would be nice if you could post a full shot of Disk Management.

    Hi.
My disk management shot and crystal disk test. I don't know if those number are ok.
I have to work on my partitions. What would be a decent size for C drive?
I'm curious about the 18.19Gb partition it is a recovery partition, maybe I could delete it

I would delete all of those Recovery partitions.

You need the EFI partition, so don`t delete that.
