    CPU Installation Problem

I'm installing an i9 10900 cpu on to a ASUS Prime Z590M-Plus motherboard. When I go to punch down the stock CPU fan one side goes down OK but when I punch down the opposite side it tends to pull the opposite pins up. When I look underneath the board the black pin isn't all the way through. Some are further down than others. The fan seems secure but I don't want problems down the road.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    John

All 4 pins should go all the way through at the same distance.

Do them diagonally, this corner, then the other corner etc.

And don`t use the word punch you have to keep pressure on the top of the cooler until all 4 are locked.

Take your time, they can break very easily.
