    Help with new build

    I am trying to come up with a hardware list for my next build. My last one was in 2012, overdue. I don't game and use standard productivity software and a light weight CAD program which works fine on my current system. I want to upgrade to Windows 11 so I want the specs to comply with the requirements.

    I think I want to stick with the Intel platform.
    The parts I am keeping are:
    CASE: Silverstone GD04 micro ATX. I need to keep it small for the cabinet where it is located.
    PSU: Corsair RMX Series (2018), RM650x, 650 Watt, 80+ Gold Certified
    Monitor: Samsung 24"

    I'm look at the following;
    MB: Asus Prime plus Z590
    CPU: i7 10700 65 Watt I want to keep it cool as possible with micro ATX case
    Cooler: Stock Intel
    GPU: will wait for pricing to come down I currently use AMD Radeon R7 200 series
    Storage: new 500GB SATA SS or NVMEe TBD I will reuse my secondary drive which contains almost all of my documents.
    Memory: 32GB dual TBD

    I would appreciate suggestions on my choices or alternatives. I think I can keep it under $1000 w/o GPU. In addition any comments on using a Gen 10 vs Gen 11 CPU.

    Thanks and looking forward to you comments.

    If you plan to keep for a while and use the IGPU then i would splurge on the 10850k 10 core for your productivity $300 vs $270 i would throw the extra $40 at it and get some good ram set it and go the Drives SSD's optional Power supply is good

    I have a 10850k and tuning the ram no overclocking the cpu will boost performance a ton i am not sure if you know how to overclock but for the most part you can just set the ram and adjust power settings and you'll be good to go

    I got i9-10900 CPU and ASUS Prime Z590M-Pro MB and from Amazon 1TB name M.2 and G.skill 32GB memory and PCIe WiFi/ Bluetooth card. Waiting for the memory to arrive before I can proceed any further. I’m out of the CPU fan and storage.

    Correction: the last sentence should be mounted for CPU and storage. You got a love voice recognition!
