Source for custom expansion card backplates?

I need to pass some USB cables and other wires from outside a tower to inside, and the most elegant way would be through a custom expansion card backplate. Does anyone here know of a source for these (I just need one)? I haven't been able to find any, but my Google-fu is weak. Thanks for any tips.

I have a card in an older computer that uses a PCI slot but also needs a USB connection, comes with a cable and a slot cover with a hole to pass the USB cable through. The back plates for motherboards are specific to the board they come with, necessary for fitting to the ports on the boards. Case manufacturers use the same cutout to fit those plates so custom-building allows for different brands of boards, same for the spacing of the slot covers. Haven't seen it mentioned as those are industry standards but have see such since started building computers in a shop back in '94.

I think I may just have to design the entire plate (I thought backplate was the proper term, but maybe it’s slot cover; the thing that goes on the end of the card allowing you to connect to the card from outside the case) and send it to someplace like OshCut to get it fabbed. Given the amount of stuff I need to connect, I may need two separate plates/covers.

That would work for just passing things through, but I’d like proper connectors (USB and maybe D-type) on the plate, so I think I’d have to go with custom cutouts. If I could find four USB 3.0 connectors on a plate (with cables on the other side to connect to the mobo), that might solve my problem. So far, I’m only finding USB 2.0 with that arrangement.

Loads of 4 port USB3 Adapter cards on Amazon, leastwise Amazon UK some require external power and cable to motherboard some just work of the PCI-e bus no cables required.

Better as requires no internal cables would be something like this?

Yeah, I’ve seen those, but no 4-port, USB 3.0 that have cable(s) to the mobo. I haven’t chosen a mobo yet, but maybe nobody makes one that supports more than two 3.0 internal connections (beyond the ports that are soldered to the board for external access).

    Hi,
Narrower ones are for computer cases usb ports
I have those type on my test benches so this type could be slightly altered to fit in a single blank.. pci-e plate
Or just buy a cheap usb 2.0 4 card and only use it's plate
