Due to Windows10 update 6950x doesn't keep Overclock remains stock

    So Windows is overwriting the microcode associated with the BIOS (it has a newer version). If you delete or rename

    Windows\system32\mcupdate_genuineintel.dll

    Windows won't load the updated microcode.

    Hi,
    I believe so but Tommie hasn't tested it
    He just rolled back to 1909 and all is well probably until ms updates the micro code again.

    It's not worth all the trouble the update is needed regardless this is one of the problems with 5 year old platforms

    Alternative to deletinc the mcupdate file, is inserting the new microcode into the uefi rom and flashing it so that windows doesn't reset cpu_init at boot.

    I had fixed the problem actually i should of closed the thread the fix was my motherboard had a new Bios just for that and it started working normal again.
    I ended up selling the chip and board a year ago already ,Been tasting the new gear that's out.
