    Might read this:
Why do we need PCIe Bifurcation and how?
I've used a PCIe X1 card in a PCIe X16 slot without problem but that computer is now gone.

The statement shown in the title appears to not mean what user has to do but the motherboard and its BIOS support bifurcation. And if it does not, there is nothing user can do about it. Is this correct?

The specs you show for MB show PCIe2.0, the addon requires PCIe 3.0, but is backward compatible to PCIe 2.0

My motherboard is Gigabyte AORA 570X Ultra and it supports PCIe v.4.0. But it will backward compatible with the PCIe v.30 card.

Thank you for calling my attention to the manual. I have just reviewed it.
What I am trying to do is to use PCIe x8 slot for two M.2 NVMe SSDs. Does what the manual say mean bifurcation is supported only for x16 slot?

You can place in your PCIe X16 slot. and set to run PCIeX8.
