Im going to reach out to a friend that has a Gigabyte MB to check with you too
    @sygnus21 could you review please

What CPU do you have in it?

You can place in your PCIe X16 slot. and set to run PCIeX8.
Unfortunately PCIe x16 slot is used for a video card and which is the only x16 slot for the motherboard.
Is there a way to use x8 slot to drive two M.2 devices?

The CPU is Ryzen 5 5600X.
I did not understand what does "@sygnus21 could you review please" mean. I jumped to the link but wondered what from there.

If you don't fill out you system specs we don't know what you have. You ask a question can I use this, but don't tell us what your system is. Fill out specs completely.

What that meant is I asked him to see if he can help, he has a Gigabyte MB.

    Help us help you

You asked what the CPU is and I answered. Is there something for me to fill out? I can post what msinfo32 returns at cmmand prompt, and screen shot of Disk Management in Windows. Do these help you to help me? But on the other hand you also state "don't tell us what your system is" I am confused.

Thanks for the callout, but I actually had to look this up as I'd never heard of bifurcation or even used it. With that two things...

    1) I've never used or heard of bifurcation so I can't help there
    2) I only use Intel boards and have leaned that my "intel" experience doesn't always apply to AMD boards. Got my hands smacked too many times for making assumptions that weren't applicable to AMD boards

So given I'm unfamiliar with bifurcation and don't use AMD boards my help here is limited to suggesting the OP go over their owner manual as well as the BIOS to see if the board (BIOS) actually has a setting for enabling "Bifurcation"

See this article - PCIe Bifurcation – What is it? How to enable? Optimal Configurations and use cases for NVMe SDDs/GPUs

Sorry I can't be of further help

No, I said you didn't tell us the new system. Click the my computer bottom left of your post. Fill in information for the system

Internet Speed: 200M UP, 15M Down
    Antivirus: Defender
Other Info: Linkreal PCIe v.3.0 host adapter for two M.2 storage devices – 3) and 4) above.

Image below is front view of the machine which shows 3.5" bay and 5.25" bay that house the M.2 and U.2 SSDs
Motherboards and BIOS PCIe bifurcation required-img_0944.jpg
The problem is only one M.2 SSD of the two installed in the 3.5" bay is recognized. These two SSDs are connected to the PCIe host which installed to x8 PCIe v.4.0 slot. As the vender of the PCIe host adapter indicates that bifurcation of the PCIe slot appears needed done in order for the two SSDs to be recognized. I reviewed the article linked in Synus21's post above and tried to enable Bifurcation but never able to get both M.2 SSDs recognized.
In the case for the article Asrock motherboard is used so that I had difficulty following the procedure.
The following is where I attempted to enable Bifurcation but could not.

If you intend to hot-swap drives you need to make sure to enable "Hot Plug" so you can safely remove and install swappable drives without issues such as drives not being recognized once removed and plugged back in again. Been there done that

That said, again, not sure about AMD boards or Bifurcation requirements. Anyway let me know if this worked or not.

    Thanks.

Is the x4 slot on your mobo free? Is there some way of running one from the x8 and the other from the x4

Your link doesnt lead anywhere, but it might be this LRNV93NF

I have been using the 5.25" bay for four 2.5" hd/ssd for 10 years but swapping was done only for data drives. I never thought of doing the same for system drives. My present problem is to get the two M.2 SSD recognized and W10 installed in them boot. Note that W10 installed in M.2 never able to boot except when the storage is installed direct on the motherboard, which may be a separate issue

I have only one PCIe host adapter. One drive is recognized so far but W10 installed never able to boot. I would rather see the W10 working at this point ahead of solving bifurcation issue. I have two M.2 drive in which W10 is installed. W10 was intalled on 500MB M.2 NDMe while it was installed direct to the motherboard. Another W10 was installed on 1TB M.2 NVMe while it was installed in Linkreal PCIe host adapter.
Model name of the Linkreal PCIe is LRNV93N8 details of which can be reviewed at the link in you post.
