Case Fan Question For Desktop Machine

Purchased a Noctua 120mm replacement exhaust fan for my Thermaltake V200 RGB case for the reason that i like Noctua fans, and figured probably cool better than the Stock 120mm Fan that came with case.

Would it be wise to then place the former Stock 120mm Rear Exhaust fan as Top Exhaust? or just go with my 3 Intake Fans on case, The Noctua Exhaust fan, and leave Top of case open til i decide if getting a Tower Air cooler in the near future or going 240MM AIO for the first time.

Specs are in the Specs area
    Intel I7 10700
    Gigabyte B460M-DS3H
    Nvidia 1660 Super
    16gb of ram
    Thermaltake V200 RGB case

    Thank you all in advance

If yoiu do place the extra fan in the top (which is fine), place it in the top near the REAR of the case.
In tests, it has been shown to be more effective there.

Oh ok, then will possibly do that then, til i decide if going with 240MM AIO CPU Cooler or sticking with Air with Tower cooler, not 100 percent sure on that aspect. Probably doing the Case fan install early tomorrow i think at this point

The 10700 is a 65w CPU. It should be OK on air, unless you intend to overclock.

No Intention to Overclock, besides the stock Intel Turbo boost feature, other than that using it at stock settings, and speeds.

What are you using for a CPU cooler... now?

The Intel Stock Cooler that local shop used when built the system in June 2020

Eyeing the Mugen 5 Black Edition soon as i can afford it, and will get it ordered and installed, as i believe that will fit into case, as case max cpu cooler height is 160mm, and Cooler height on that one 154.5mm, so seems like would fit i believe lol, not a cooler expert, but think it may work

Yeah. THAT should keep your CPU... plenty cool.
    And yes... it should fit.
Scythe has always made decent CPU coolers.

As you have only one graphics card (120W) and a 10700 is a 65w CPU, no OC, 3 intake fans is more than enough.

Update: New Exhaust Fan Installed, 3 to 5 degrees cooler, not a major cooling fix as yet, but once i get the newer CPU cooler, i expect a major cooling improvement.

Install was a bit tricky, but managed to get cable connected, and wired managed with my nylon wire tie, might turn fan around at some point so the wire isn't coming out left side, and going under it, and into plug.

Should cable manage the other case side where all the cables are, think Shop just swapped Power supply from old system, and left all the wires connected from my old Asus G11CD-K Desktop i had in June 2020, result is a major wire mess on the other side of case lol, that i should take time sometime to clean up, when not sure yet

Overall very happy with new exhaust fan--so this topic believe solved!
