Which cooler is best for Intel i7 ?

Upgrading my Motherboard and CPU wanted to know which of these air coolers is better for my CPU.

    CPU
    Intel(R) Core™ i7-10700KF Processor (16M Cache, up to 5.10 GHz) Product Specifications

    Motherboard
ROG STRIX Z490-E GAMING | ROG Strix | Gaming Motherboards|ROG - Republic of Gamers|ROG Global

    Air cooler choice 1
    Amazon.com

    Air cooler choice 2
    Amazon.com

Know most may recommend Liquid cooling for this CPU rather go with Air cooling even knowing demand for cooling this chip requires a lot. I feel Noctua’s is probably my best choice even from there site shows it will handle the CPU at full use.

I do not overclock my CPU. Also mention all other specs shown for me here will remain the same just CPU, Motherboard and Cooling will change. Case has limited clearance for cooler height no more then 158mm.

Can someone also recommend the best thermal paste if going with Noctua how is there’s ?

Last question is activation of my Windows 10 license since it was an upgraded license from 8.1 but is linked to my Microsoft account will there be any issues reactivating ?

    @jds63

Yeah, the Noctua is the better cooler. You will need to check for RAM clearance with Noctua coolers.

If your license is hooked to your MS account you should be fine.

I'm sure. BUT... get the bigger tube. If you don't... you'll need it.

Nothing worse than need more thermal compound at 3 am, and not having any.

    You're right. The 10700KF is a 125W CPU. My 3700K is only 65W.

My idle temps, right now... I got a 12000 BTU A/C just to the right of my case.

I just use a dot, about the size of a pea.
Under the heat spreader, the CPU looks like this...
