    Do You Know The Answer To This?

    Does it really mater how you apply the past? Example in the image. Will choosing any one of the methods make any difference in CPU temperature? The answer to that question is NO! Its not in the image but there is one that does. Do you know what that one is? One of you will nail it right of the bat I know it. Just trying to have some fun.

    Thanks Paul, but this is just a fun post. I'm tearing my system down tomorrow and doing a major clean up. "Yes I Let It Get Real Dirty". Picked up some TM30 past for the CPU and thought I would do a fun post about past application. Love the link and thank you. So what is your preferred application Paul? And do you know the answer to the one application that makes the temperature difference?

    @Paul Black

    lmao! thanks for the mention! And thank you for linking my post <3

    @Lance1

    It honestly doesn't matter, in my opinion, all methods are valid. The only thing you can do wrong is put too little, long as you put enough or even more then enough you can't go wrong and the temperatures will be the same. If you go on my most recent post you will see a detailed explanation of my endeavour on this (with images), spoiler, I put a tinsy winsy bit and even that was almost completely enough :)

    Edit: I missed your question, I recommend going with the cross, but it doesn't have to be quite so big, long as its a cross you will get complete coverage, a little tiny pea size covered like 95% but a cross should do 100%, I think pressure is important as well.

    I realize the OP has stated that his post is a bit tongue in cheek.
    But here is a link to a comprehensive test of many of the ways of applying thermal paste done by Puget Systems:
    Thermal Paste Application Techniques (pugetsystems.com)

    I've always used the small rice sized blob in the center which is the method recommended by Noctua (I use their CPU coolers.
