Transferring hardware from a Dell optiplex 7020 to a MSI B85-G43 Gamin

Im Transferring hardware from a Dell optiplex 7020 to a MSI B85-G43 Gaming motherboard and I'm just curious of what I need to be prepared for because technically this is my first pc build. The specs of the Dell optiplex 7020 are in my profile and the case I plan on using is the golden field n17 atx.

Any information and help is appreciated (I just ordered the motherboard and case today so I don't have them yet.)

That Dell is about 7 years old, 2014 era.

If I remember correctly, Dells were known to have certain proprietary connectors.....at one time. Possibly involving the power supply?

But I also think Dell moved away from those proprietary connectors at some point....I'm just not sure if that was before or after 2014.

Maybe consider a new power supply anyway since the Dell PSU is presumably 7 years old and getting a bit long in the tooth?

Looks like that MSI board is also about the same age and is used, not new?

I'd probably just take a stab at it without buying anything new and troubleshoot any problems if possible.

I assume the Dell cooler is quite short and will fit easily in the new case.
