Recommendation on a new AMD Motherboard please

    Agree.

    For the lazy type like me, I just move to OS drive to the new motherboard and install the new motherboard's drivers and stuff; but I do agree that doing a clean install is best and eliminates the guesswork of whether the old drivers are causing problems should any occur.

    I got the new mobo installed and a clean install of Windows. Ironically, the brownout problem I was having was caused by undervolting the CPU, not the motherboard, so I changed it out for nothing.

    Oh well, I have a spare should the new MSI one go belly up.

    Arrrgh.

    Why you should always set a system back to defaults when troubleshooting hardware (any) issues; especially if overclocking/underclocking.

    Trust me, stuff happens. I once overwrote my OS drive when I meant to install a different OS on a different drive. Worse was I wasn't doing backups then. That's a lesson learned
