Change Dell OptiPlex 9020 tower case

Can I change my Dell OptiPlex 9020 from original tower case to gaming tower case?

    It is possible.

Easy Dell Optiplex RGB Case Transplant - YouTube

I saw in another video a while back that someone made a plug an adapter for the power switch. Years ago I did something like this but I used a pick to remove the wires from the plastic connector and installed them on to the pins.

Edit; This guy found an easy solution for the power switch. I was thinking of another video where it was more difficult. This guy made a very good video on doing this!

The Dell proprietary and undocumented front panel connections can and do vary from model to model. I'll have to tag this, for the 9020, as we do get inquiries on the Dell forum about switching to an ATX case.

I saw another video where the guy used the HD LED wires to jumper the two pins and the case switch wires had to be oriented the right way. I have seen other methods but the ones I posted were the most practical and easy to do.

You really don't want to hack things up if you don't have to! Chopping connectors up and hot gluing things just isn't the right way to do it!

Edit: I have heard on YouTube that people do create adapters for Dell's but I don't know where a person would look.

The guy that made the video shared this with me.

The front I/O adapter will make things even easier.
