Can Windows 10 see unused Mobo Slots?

My mother just bought a HP All-in-One PC from Costco. From the description, it has a 1TB HDD, which I hate. I'll probably take the hard drive from her existing All-in-One PC that's about ready to die (it's from 2010) and swap it, since I'd replaced the HDD from that computer with a SSD (had to use HDD to SSD converter).

The motherboard is labeled as "Bradford" with SSID: 86EE. I cannot find any information about this online. I just want to know if there's an M.2 or NVMe slot so I can upgrade it.

Is there a way for Windows 10 to tell so I don't have to open up the machine to look? I doubt the port will be in use, if it in fact even exists.

Try using HWInfo64 (see below for my HP laptop) Free Download HWiNFO Sofware | Installer & Portable for Windows, DOS . Else you could ask HP support.

Run the Crucial scanner to view possible replacement options:

Contact Costco concierge support to see if they can offer help:

Thanks! The computer will be received later this week, hopefully. I'll try HWInfo64, Crucial scanner and the Costco Concierge! I did find a picture of the motherboard (if it's even accurate) and there might be a port. I just don't know if it's M.2 or NVMe but I'll find out.

This HP doc shows that the Bradford 86EE mainboard has 2 x M.2 expansion slots - 1 for WLAN and the other for SSD (either PCIe x4 or SATA x1).

This different HP doc confirms this configuration.

    Hope this helps...
