CPU speed and memory speed match?

Would upgrading to a faster DDR4 increase the speed of processing?

    CPU:
    Intel(R) Coffee Lake Pentium(R) Gold G5600 CPU @ 3.90GHz
    Motherboard:
    ASRock B360 Pro4 Socket 1151
    Memory:
    16GB DDR4 KHX2400C

Are you already using it at max standard (XMP)?

Please give us the complete memory ID

Thanks for looking at it. I attached the report text file

Does the memory has a XMP? See under BIOS.

If using memory speed greater than supported by the motherboard it would be over-clocking and may require some voltage change. I've found it best to use the maximum recommended by the board maker the use larger amounts, I try for the maximum supported in Notebooks and at least 16GB in Desktops, more if video editing, large spreadsheets, large databases, etc.

The JEDEC and XMP profiles are 2400 MHz for those memory modules.

The MOBO max spec is for 2666 MHz. A 10% increase in memory speed will not do anything measurable overall.

Helmut, Thank you. This is he first thing I needed to understand. What is the speed effect on the CPU which is processing at 3.9GHz? It doesn't sound to me as a proper match.

    It doesn't need to match.
Memory doesn't do anything but hold a kind of CPU draft. Who really work the data is the CPU. The memory speed is the ability to deliver and receive this CPU draft. Higher frequency means shortest time.
