    Hi,
I've got a couple 860 pro 256gb they work just fine
Only benchmarks that like m.2 is passmark otherwise you'd never see any improvements

M.2 might be best as a storage then it makes no difference pro/ evo or regular which ever is cheapest

Post far cry 3 is free atm
    And speaking about passmark....

New update for PerformanceTest 10 released today.
    Version 10.1 Build 1004

Both of your systems should have setting to disconnect/disable M.2 from BIOS.
    Yep

I`m about to order a 980 Pro, and you know me, I`ll look at it for 4 months before I open it

It`ll be for W11 so no matter.

If these results are true Alder Lake looks incredible. Intel back in the game.

Have just spent ages surveying which AMD Ryzen CPU and motherboard to buy shortly and will have to start again - but it depends on price since I look at performance / price as a metric. I see the multithreaded performance difference is less clear cut.

Not really, the 5950X had to be overclocked to scrape past the stock 12900K in multi... If you do not know Alder Lake CPU's will be very fast with Windows 11 and the new scheduler that's been in development between MS and Intel.

Time for new CPU / mobo spreadsheet then!

Intel is doing some pretty strange things with their new CPUs. MS will have difficult time to adjust to make performance best it can be. It took them 4 years to start adjusting to Ryzen way of working.
It seems that R5 5600x for gaming and R7 5800x for everything else is best "Bang for a buck" deal right now. If it wasn't for this world wide chip problem that ratio would probably be much better.

Be aware that some of the Z690 motherboards for Alder Lake will require mandatory use of DDR5 DRAM. Not a lot is known about DDR5 yet or pricing. Some boards will continue support for DDR4. I heard that all of the Asus Maximus line will be DDR5 only.

Can't deny Alder Lake is going to be interesting. Pricing is another matter. 12700K potentially could be bang for your buck.
