That's what I found too, clearing CMOS doesn't clear everything, first hint was when date/time and MB RGB settings didn't change until CMOS battery was removed.I got in a qcode boot loop that I couldn't get out of not that long ago after installing an AIO. I tried everything, replaced everything even a spare CPU and GPU. I reinstalled BIOS and reset CMOS many times. I started an RMA dialog with Asus. Then I thought there was one thing I didn't try - removing the CMOS battery, waiting a minute or so, then replacing it. That did the trick and saved me from RMA hell. I guess there are some things that clearing CMOS doesn't clear in NVRAM. Anyhow good luck.

Asus replied with more try this. I sent details of everything I did. They sent me a link to submit for instant rma. I Submitted and now waiting for the response.
