Mugen 5 Cooler for my I7 10700 Processor a Few Questions

Plan on eventually ordering a Mugen 5 Air Cooler for my Intel 10700 Processor, Reading online i've read that big air coolers can bend or snap motherboard, especially for not expensive ones, My Board is Gigabyte B460M_DS3H wondering if it would result in that happening if i was to buy it by Birthday and install myself for first time

Total Noob with Coolers unforuately lol, but i hope to successfully do the task by Birthday, if all goes well i'll have it properly installed and properly cooled finally I7 10700, without spending money at local shop either

Typically, the larger coolers have a backplate that provides any needed support. I've certainly not read about enough problems with bending and snapping motherboards that I would be concerned.

I just built a box this past weekend and I used the Be Quiet, Dark Rock Pro 4 cooler and didn't have any concerns with the size of the cooler and doing any damage to the motherboard.

I thing you would be just fine.

Just make sure that you either have some thermal compound or that your new cooler comes with some thermal compound. Obviously clean off any existing compound using a small alcohol wipe from your existing cooler.

Right already watched a ton of videos on cleaning current stock intel cooler, and will have all necessary items prior to starting the task, case has back panel access to rear of motherboard

So don't think i'll have to remove it hopefully lol, if i do end up having to remove, i have done motherboard case transfers before, but rather not if i don't have to lol, guess will see when it comes time to install said item.

*Installing my M.2 was a chore even with the Stock Intel Cooler and Video card right below it, kinda glad i didn't have the Mugen yet, as access would've been even more of a challenge** nearly lost the little screw when it fell off the screwdriver somehow during install, ((as got RL interrupted while i was in middle of Install)) managed to find the screw again and completed that install))
