I read that any stuff besides water will degrade parts but I'v not had much better luck with just distilled and biocide plus anti-corrosion agent my self so... I just drain my loop every 4 months to keep on top of it and now with only one part under water at the moment its not hard to maintain at all. My next iteration will more than likely have Mayhems as I'v heard great things about it.

    Hi guys,

Built my first computer earlier this year, almost have all the parts. Looking forward to getting it completed :) Just graphics card to go at this stage.
Don't have any photos with me right now but I do have the specs (all prices in NZD)

By the way, I must say getting the SSD was the best upgrade I had ever made to my machine. Definitely worth every cent!

Never had that issue with Mayhems Pastel range, last loop change was after 20 months with no issues (Mayhems say it can go 36 months http://www.mayhems.co.uk/mayhems/ind...mayhems-oastel ), checked the, res/tubes(still flexible/not brittle)/block & pump (no buildups or blockages).

NB. i also have a silver coil in the loop (just not in that picture), even though it has Biocides included I have always liked an extra level of bug/sludge killing power. Also some tubing types can become stained with the dye (which on some systems/colours can look quite good!, but i have yet to see it corrode any).

I have a question that one of you PC Mods may be able to answer:

My apartment gets dusty pretty easy, ergo the inside of my desktop. So I have to blow it out quite often. Would putting air filters (like the ones that come in a box of vacuum cleaner bags that go in front of the suction fan), hinder air flow to the point of overheating? I was thinking of taping a couple(thin ones) on the inside where you can see and on the outside on the back.

Or is there special material, I should use, before I go Redneck RiggingShow off your PC!-ducttape-1.gif

Should not restrict to much. Try it and watch the temps. If they don't rise, you are good

My PC has just fans, but pretty much stays about the ambient temperature of the room, except for the graphics card, and the dust collects at the bottom and on the fans, but usually stays of the "important" stuff, so I thought some micro-fiber fleece on the air intake grilling might help a bit. Of course come to think of it; I don't nee any at the back where the fans blow out...
