Fitted a 40mm Noctua Redux to the back of my Icy Dock HDD bay yesterday and replaced my SATA cables, I also chopped the USB 3.0 cable off the Icy Dock bay as I'll never use it. Looks a lot tidier now, pity I didn't have time to dust it out while I was there. I'll do that next week.
    Looking good! :)

    Show off...

How much are those going for now and would you say they're worth it?

The sequential rocks-- but the randoms are about the same as my Samsung Pro 256GB SSD I noticed.

    Those are CAD$299 or US$230 for 256GB.
Very happy with it. But just to warn you, it's only UEFI (no Legacy OpRom) which works for me because it doesn't communicate with other OS in OpROM mode so the boot manager don't get messed up between OSes on other SSDs.

Probably because it's AHCI. NVME may be better.

Yeah, STEVAE started a thread about that didn't he? I have turned RAPID off on both my machines in prep for Win10(Win10 BSODs with it on) and had a massive drop in You can see in the window shots, but I haven't really noticed in day to day stuff, just benchmarking.

Love those 4K times, 58% of all disk usage goes to 4K writing and 8% to reading. That's where responsiveness comes from, that and access times which is about same on all SSDs but 100 or more times slower on spinners.

I am telling you.. once you're tried SSD, you'll never go back to platter drives.
