I have Kingston V300, 120 GB, one of first series with ****505 firmware and Im not exactly ecstatic about performance at least on paper:
There was a series with ****506 FW and it's good to skip it. Soon after they came with ****507 FW and problems were solved. Problem is that FW can not be changed at home, has to be done in the factory. I have it for about year and half and has been reliable and no hint of a problem but for speed that is quite a bit lower than advertised. 240GB are a bit faster and all of them are marginally faster on Intel systems.
HyperX should be better but with higher price and longer warranty, thought to be more of "professional" drives. Because of lo price they are popular here and I haven't heard of too many complaints about durability.
