Hey guy's. Just finished my new build. Pretty happy with it aside from wanting to change the 8pin GPU cables. See my system spec for parts. Will try and take some better pics in daylight tomorrow.
Glad to finally have a powerful PC again. Cheers :)

A small big upgrade. Since my 2TB Samsung harddrive failed, I replaced it with a 2TB WD Black, but its somehow making the whole pc fibrate like crazy and its driving me nuts.

So, new year resolutions number 1: SSD everything.

I just got this second hand, unused (Samsung Magician is showing no more then 5 powerups) Samsung EVO 2TB unit for 130 euro's under retail pricing. On the right hand side my 250GB EVO drive which holds Windows. On the left the 2TB EVO drive for all my main storage, I'm currently transfering everything from the WD Black to this. A 500GB EVO has been ordered to replace the tired old Spinpoint F3 that now holds my Program Files folder and all the game installation folders.

And here is a uptodate picture of the whole thing with the sidepanels of

I just took a look at the Thermaltake (Core X9) case. I was impressed. Also it's fairly priced.
A bit big but well designed.
Any thing with that many hard drives is going to get hefty.
I agree ssd's are the only way to go. I got 8 of them. You can never have to many of them.
NH-D15 is a excellent choice for air cooling. It appears to snuggle close to the ram.
In my wondering over the internet I found the NH-D15 beats a lot of AIO water cooling.

    Just my thoughts.

It's a beast to be sure can hold many rads, I have found out though during the build with the D15 my mobo is warped lol and hence I see a new one in my future also to fit my gpu in slot one I had to slightly bend the D15 (that is an issue with my mobo and not the heatsink), still works fine though but the warping makes it not contact perfect apparently it has been like this for a while and my water setup was working wonders and I did not know. But like I said before pc does not do much heavy lifting now and all the pitfalls of the warping is fine for now. I think I tweaked it about two water blocks ago so years ago.

Found pics I have of how on this board it slightly covers the first slot and my ram clearance. Heatsink is massive.

Those are nice Jack, yeah if we have to go then you go and take what we have on a list but if you get 30 minutes to evac were taking the pc. We had multiple fires very close to us last year. Now one person can grab it before it was two person and if you dropped it you had 2 liters of water in there so that would be very bad (unless you're on fire I guess ). My gpu's are so long they would not fit with that res even in a primo. I have to put them in diagonal in the R5 to clear the cage. I want to do a hardline build at some point though, i'm keeping all the water gear stored away.
