I certainly hope it's happy in it's PCI e 3.0 lane with lots of room to breathe. Seems to be. I have that Asus Maximus VIII formula changing colors every few seconds. The windowed case is what both this MB and graphic card are designed for.

Thanks, guys. I just successfully flashed to the latest MB bios which is dated June, 2016. Being an X Dell Alienware owner of a 6 year old system, I haven't had any bios update practice in 5 years .

The MB Aura color control can also be practical, set to CPU temps green, yellow and red. The joys of a modular power supply, no cable clutter and I picked an MB that has wifi. No more Asus/D Link USB wifi adaptors and disconnect issues. This MB wifi simply works, all the time.

Asus makes bios flashing very easy and worry free.

Speaking of cold air, early morning temps here got down to 5' C. Fall coming fast.
