I would challenge you to look at your workstation card's software panel see what is says for 10-bit color. For AMD is says 10 bpp (bits per pixel). That said, I'm not sure what NVidia says as I could never find that info, but for AMD it's 10-bpp.

Also had this discussion many times here. Then there's this post by an AMDMatt explaining bits per pixel.

And it's definitely not 30-bits per pixel as there's nothing out yet that could produce that many colors. And you'd need a GPU with extraordinary processing power. Something with doesn't exist yet (or at least on an available consumer level). Anyway I'm not going to argue this. You say what you say, and I read what I read.

    Peace

You are wrong. It is 30 bits per pixel. Each pixel on a monitor is a combination of 3 colors (sub-pixels), and the 10 bit when used for a display refers to per color - there are 10 bits for each of the 3 primary colors. A monitor with 10 bits per color can display over 1 billion different colors. The processing power is only 30/24 = 25% more needed than 8 bpc (24 bits per pixel). For instance my 10 bpc 2560 x 1440 display is composed of 2560 x 1440 x 30 ~ 110 Mbits of information. At 60 Hz that is about 6 Gbits/s, which is nothing.

    Bit Depth

You refer to a digital camera forum where often a pixel often refers to a single color (R or G or B). This is a confused point-of-view.

BTW, I believe the reason "bits per channel" instead of bits per color appeared is because most camera sensors are composed of more green sub-pixels than red or blue. This is because green is more prevalent than the other primaries im most images. My 5d Mark Iv has 14 bits per channel (better than my monitor's 10!) but that doesn't translate to 14 of green + 14 of blue + 14 of red in the final image.

Monitors are mostly RGB, so "bits per color" is more appropriate IMO.

My dream is to get ahold of some Vantablack, some how, and paint the inside of my case, dust filters, chipset and I/O shields, parts of my 2080Ti and fan frames with it

But it is only a dream, because Vantablack is not sold to civilians I believe.
There are knock offs, but they are not as light absorbent.
    Left is Vantablack.
RGB would look so cool, when only the lights would show, and not reflect off of anything in the case.

I wonder if the felt used on projector screen borders could get close to this effect it is deigned to absorb light and is thin. I have some on my screen that is 3 inches wide each border and no light reflects off that thing. The issue would be the heat on the strip over time and perhaps a fire hazard maybe? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...e?ie=UTF8&th=1

Well sold my 2x 2.5 slot 1080's and got a used 2 slot 1080 ti FTW3 (still under warranty even) and finally got my hands on a 3900X (upgrade from a 2600) and NA-HC3. So threw it all in there and now now it looks nicer, and way more airflow too. As a bonus the STX has it's own slot again. My take on the NA-HC3 is that it really does add a nice look to the D15/S. I also want to mod it to make it slightly glow like the GPU leds and then lower my fans light output.
