I like your rig, noticed you have that Workstation GPU in it too. Do yo use it for some kind of workload/creation, or in Multi GPU with a DX12 game?

Thanks Dude. I use the AMD WX 7100 to drive my 10 bit Eizo photoraphy display - bit of an overkill at the moment., but it does let me play some open-GL games like DOOM on that display at 2560 x 1440 at Ultra settingss. DirectX 12 with Nvidia Game with another monitor.

@Geneo, how's gameplay overall with that card?

I'm also a photographer with a 10-bit NEC display (and Photoshop CC user), but as a gamer, I haven't looked at workstation cards as I don't want to compromise my gaming performance. The NEC is a 24 inch display at 1920 x 1200.

    Thanks

OpenGL and Vulkan it is good @ 2560x1440 Ultra. DirectX 12 not so good.

Whatr is a bit interesting is I can get some games to run on my Nvidia 1070 but the displayed on the moniitor connectected to the WX 7100. Like Shadow of The Tomb Raider. I just start iy on my HD display, then switch it to the AM display. The game engine runs on the 1070 but it gets displayed through the 7100.

Thank, but I don't plan on running two cards in my system. I have thought about getting a workstation card, but for now that's way down the priority list as it's more of a would like to have than need.

I've also not been hurt from lack of a 10-bit workflow and I do save my master images as a tiff files saved in the ProPhoto color space. I use those files for prints from an Epson 3380. For web I just create a jpeg copy saved in sRGB.

Studio edition of GeForce drivers 431.70 now support 10 bpc. Tried it with my gtx 1070 and it works. Anyone interested in an AMD WX 7100 graphics card? LOL.

You might be interested in this article: NVIDIA @ SIGGRAPH 2019: NV to Enable 30-bit OpenGL Support on GeForce/Titan Cards

BTW its not bpc (bits per channel) you want but bpp (bits per pixel). This is what gives those extra shades per color.

No, what I said is correct. It is 10 bits per color (not channel) and 30 bits per pixel.
