Looks good, Doug.
I'm surprised you get GPU interference noise with your dedicated Asus sound card Dude. I used to get the same GPU interference noise with my old motherboards on board sound and it was the reason I brought a dedicated one (Sound Blaster X-AE5). With the X-AE5 I don't get any interference, just a crystal clear signal. I wonder if the shielding on your Asus isn't working correctly?
When I use my headphones in my specs with the Strix soundcard my partners hear buzzing through Skype which we use while gaming. Using my onboard Realtek it is fine. I have been using the onboard for gaming with the headphones, and the soundcard with my speaker setup for music and such.
I think I hijacked this thread enough, will open another thread later if I decide to keep testing it.
Just wanted to show off. :)
This is my boss’ crazy new $5K system I built. Just wanted to show my handiwork.
i7 8086K, He won it in the Intel drawing last year. Runs at 5Ghz out of the box. ASUS ROG Strix Z390, 240MM Corsair AIO, 64GB Corsair DDR4 3200Mhz, 2 2TB NVMe 970 Pro's in RAID0, 4 4TB 860 Evo's in two pairs of RAID0. Radeon RX580 8GB. He's not a gamer so it's more for a workstation card. It's a slick system.
