Gene, I imagine it depends on what you are doing with the computer. I love my Apex and 8700K. Intel said it was the best gaming CPU they had ever made. I think they may be telling the truth. This is very fast and pushing 6 cores. I'm sure I will be wanting another computer before I need 8 cores. 8 cores would come in handy when encoding videos, but I don't do that as often as I used to. 6 Cores is plenty for what I do. If you need 8 cores, I may consider waiting. I did think about it but decided I may want 8 cores, but I don't really have too much need for them. If you like overclocking and pushing your hardware, the Apex is the only way to go, as far as I am concerned. I wouldn't trade my Apex for any board on the market. Just my 2 cents. BTW, the Apex has 2 PS/2 ports.

A work in progress. Plan to black out fans or replace them with Cromax, fix hard drive tray by the time I replace it with a 9700k. Running 24x7 4.8 GHz @ 1.28v VID.

    Looks really nice and clean
Kind of a military desert(because of the Noctua's) stealth look inside.

    Hi,

Loving it too. I have the same case but in black&white.
Replacing the current Noctua fans with black and red Chromax would look real good IMHO.

    Cheers and merry X-mass everyone,

Gemco your system is neat and clean. Looks good.

Those Chromax covers are a touch of class.
Those Noctua fans are quality for sure, but the color.

    What case are you using?

    Hi,

@Geneo is using a Fractal Design Define R4 case @Layback Bear.

Those Noctua fans are quality for sure, but the color.
No fan of that cream colour either but most of their fans are now available in all basic colours through their Chromax line nowadays.

    Cheers,

    Thanks for the information.
I didn't know that Chromax was a brand of Noctua. That is good to know.

    Hi,

That's it and you can get the same colour schemes for the square casing fans just the same. Excellent fans these are I think.

    Cheers,
