After having to replace a few parts recently (CPU, RAM, and motherboard) due to a motherboard failure, decided it was time to retire my trusty old Antec Three Hundred and get something new to put the new parts in. Picked up a Fractal Design Define C last weekend and then had fun for a couple of hours getting everything in it,

Must say everything runs a bit cooler and is quite a bit quieter than the old case.

Thank you all for the remarks. I spent a month looking for a tower case that was wide enough but could not find one. Then one day I noticed the plexiglass on the Antec 900 was screwed on so I got a piece of 1/2 inch plywood and made a template from that and it was just enough without touching the cooler fan. Tested it and the temps were low and system very quiet so I am glad it all worked out. Maybe a later date I will get a new tower case that will be better for wiring. There are some awesome cases shown here which I will check out soon.

    cheers

Nice clean rig. I really like cases with shrouds covering the PSU as it enhances both that clean look and helps in cable management. Good job stormy.

    Hi,

Agreed. I happen to use a FD Define R4 which is great but the Define C looks even better thanks to that shroud.
    Neat build @stormy13

    Thanks guys.

Was a toss up between the S and the C but went with the C because it is slightly smaller than the S and as mentioned, the shroud.
