Computer Build Improvements for Christmas/Birthday List 2020 lol

Debating what improvements i should attempt for Christmas/Birthday

Debating on upgraded CPU Cooler from Stock Intel 10700 after i get M.2 drive just in case the new cooler blocks access to that slot once installed, so thinking M.2 first, then possibly newer cooler provided i'm comfortable enough installing that myself for very first time.

    System layout is as follows

Micro ATX motherboard inside Thermaltake V200 RGB Case, believe max height for CPU cooler is 155mm from what i read on the site i think if i'm right lol, Motherboard is Gigabyte B460M-DS3H, Processor Stock Intel 10700, 1 current Serial ATA SSD boot drive 250gb, and 1 Spinner hard drive for extra game storage/and data files currently, 1TB WD Black drive

Video card think good for now Geforce 1660 Super

WIfi Card TP LInk AX3000 wifi 6 card

**The M.2 will be my first ever M.2 on Desktop, probably become the new boot drive, and 1 game installed on it like i have setup with current Serial ata boot drive ssd, then rest of games on the 250gb i think, and some on the storage drive if i can't fit all on the 250gb one **

Thanks for those links!!, researches those items, only 1 M.2 slot on Desktop though, but i'll either pick the 500gb M.2 or 1TB M.2, and Liquid Cooling interesting idea as well, as Case is equipped for Liquid Cooling on Top and In Front options, probably will do Top mount 240mm if i do that way of things

But Does my Motherboard support liquid cooling? Gigabyte B460M-DS3H?

All i see is on the board is 2 Sys Fan Headers, and 1 CPU_Fan Header, though the spots i think are hybrid headers from Gigabyte site info that i've been reading

First of all, don't expect any noticeable improvement in performance moving from a SATA SSD to an NVMe SSD. You more than likely won't notice any real world difference. Most AIO water coolers come with a connection that attaches to one of the System Fan headers and splits it so you can run a case fan and the radiator fans off the one motherboard connection. The pump gets connected to the CPU fan header. Some will also need a SATA power connector from the PSU.

Yes, those parts I linked will work with your motherboard and case.

Awesome--Thank you so much!!, now just hopes have enough funds at Christmas/Birthday to buy, and then get installed properly, and all set

I should have Plenty of Sata power plugs, as no longer using one of them for the former DVD drive that i was in old case, so i should have another cable with 2-3 more Sata power plugs.

Not expecting a ton of more performance moving from SATA ssd to Nvme, but since i got the spot for a M.2, i might as well use it, and make it my new primary drive i think, and use the SATA one for game storage if they fit on that one..

((I knew i should've gotten larger than 250gb Sata replacement drive last year when my older WD Blue 250gb life expected went down from 74 Percent to 50 percent in WD SSD Dashboard, paniced and purchased 250gb Samsung 860 Evo lol))

Takes alot of planning, and saving to afford upgrades at times lol, but i will get the items i want someway, somehow....

    @AMDMan2016

The NVMe SSDs are 5-6 times faster than a 2.5" SSD. However as @NavyLCDR mentioned, you won't really "notice" the speed increase in a large way.

    Samsung 2.5" SSD...
Max Sequential Read Up to 550 MBps
Max Sequential Write Up to 520 MBps
    4KB Random Read
Random (QD1): Up to 10,000 IOPS
Random (QD32): Up to 98,000 IOPS
    4KB Random Write
Random (QD1): Up to 42,000 IOPS
Random (QD32): Up to 90,000 IOPS

    Samsung NVMe SSD...
Max Sequential Read Up to 3400 MBps
Max Sequential Write Up to 2500 MBps
    4KB Random Read
    QD32: Up to 500,000 IOPS
    QD1: Up to 15,000 IOPS
    4KB Random Write
    QD32: Up to 450,000 IOPS
    QD1: Up to 50,000 IOPS

Windows and games/apps need to be coded much more efficiently, for us to notice a very large speed difference.

Right Understands that...Appreciate all the replies and info, very informative, just have to figure out what is priority to get first, and go from there soon as Christmas arrives, and save some items for birthday 2 months later perhaps think what will do

I would get the CPU cooler first. It will leave you plenty of room for installing the NVMe SSD.
