    BIOS Flash


    I will have to admit that I know very little about UEFI BIOS. It is MSI AMI BIOS and there was an update which I performed. On MSI's site it said it was for security. Well I have had nothing but problems since I Flashed the BIOS. I have a .ZIP file of the old BIOS and was wondering if I could Flash an older version . I was having no issues at all with the Prior BIOS. I just would like to know if it is possible? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You should be able to redo the old bios but what problems are you having as it maybe nothing to do with the bios

    Various Problems the major one is that I can't restore an MR Image.

    I have a MSI board. Whenever I flash the BIOS I first download the BIOS I want from the support page for the board (all versions are listed there) to a USB stick (unzip it first), and then I hold down the 'del' button to boot into BIOS from a restart. There's a tab there called M-Flash. It will then boot to a utility screen. From here it will find the USB stick with the right file to flash to whatever BIOS you have onto it. It's quite simple. So I guess you can go back to a previous BIOS from this guide?

    A thought: Was the image create before or after the BIOS update? Perhaps MR is detecting the update is too different a change to be able to restore safely.
