Getting the right wifi card

Hi. I want to fit a wifi card to my PC (the USB wifi adapter is playing up). My motherboard is an Asus H97M-Plus which you can see here:

and here's a website listing compatible wifi cards:

All the compatible cards are PCIe x1 but if you go back to the Asus website, there's no such slot (as far as I can see). Am I missing something here? My thanks if you can help me out. (Win10 version 1903)

Hi Dude. I've done some more reading and the PCI Express 3.0/2.0 slot seems to be for graphics cards. Do you mean that I could use any of the 3 slots below it? Thanks for your help.

Unless my eyes deceive me, that brand/model motherboard has:
2 PCI Express x16 slots
2 PCI slots

It does not have any PCI Express x1 slots.

Have you considered using a USB 3.0 dual band wireless adapter?

If a PCI Express x1 wireless card (or ethernet card) can actually be used in a PCI Express x16 slot, I just learned something new.
