Looking good Brawndo.
Oh yeah, if there's something about Corsair cases I don't like is the cable management, they always seem like an afterthought, well at least if you have worked with NZXT cases which are a dream to cable manage. I wanted to build in yet another H510 Elite, but it fits 280 Rad max. I wanted a 360 for that one. The H710 is full tower so not not an option, and while the Corsair 500D is not exactly what I would call compact, it still a mid tower and it's at the limit of acceptable size to me at least.
I'm starting to despise huge towers, but anyway, there are some design decisions that are weird. It's like, couldn't you give it like half a inch extra on the back, and a few more grommets. The tunnel that is bolted in doesn't really have more space to fit anything inside there. Will be an interesting challenge, because backside is windowed! I can't cheat.
Thanks!
Haha, now I can't unread it. The RAM setup will end up G.Skill or T-Force Dark Pro depending on overclock. Factory overclock profile for the G.Skill is 14-14-14-35 3200, and the Dark Pro is 14-14-14-31. For daily use, I want 14-14-14-X stable @ 3600 with not too much voltage, but for overclocking session I want.. moar!! This will be an interesting fight. Either way, I know I can already do 14-14-14-35 on the G.Skill @ 3600 so it's really greed or OCD at that point.
Damn cooler, left some place twice in 2 days in the tracking.. come on.
I've not found any case to be perfect but I manage to work with what I have. See both builds in my system specs. And my thoughts on cable management here
As a side note my dream case is the Corsair 1000D. I could do a lot with that case build wise. Unfortunately at this point in time I don't have the space for it.
