Completely understandable. I've focused on other things that I wanted / needed, and a new computer wasn't one, since I would need build time (and thus far I had always been planning on a partial refresh, say mobo, CPU and RAM only) which would then require downtime.
About this time last year I decided it was time but I wanted to see how far I could stretch my budget. So, I started saving as much as possible - for a new build, for the upcoming service on my Infiniti, and also for a refinance on the house.
I thought I was about to hit a big bill with the car service, not having remembered that I already did that (I performed it a bit early compared to the actual mileage that they would normally have carried it out on, since my (now, uh, 13? years) old car still only have a whopping 65k miles on it....), so a large chunk of that savings I was able to redirect to the build.
Then, with the economy the way it is and with the Interest rate being as astoundingly low as it is, I naturally started shopping around for a refi in Jan. That came to fruition in the beginning of June, with an almost 2% drop in the mortgage interest rate (yes, almost 2%!!!), ***and*** my credit union was able to do it with low closing costs. So another big chink of savings I could divert.
So, initially I was planning on around $1500 or so. The total for this build, right now, is just over $4200. And, I'll be buying a GTX30x series (probably 3080 / 3080 Ti, unless the Titan RTX 2s are under $1500) and I'll be set.
But since this was *all* savings, aka nothing thrown on a credit card, I can easily throw the GPU on a CC with a deferred interest and pay it off over time.
Win-win-win-win (refi / computer / GPU / Low CC debt) situation, really.

As a matter of fact, they do have one that is pretty damned similar, based upon the Z490 chipset....

Yeah I read that but it was mostly for the XII extreme now at 770.us at amazon and 850.us on newegg lol so yeah price jumped up was 750.00.

They were just slower to do so - because Sammy doesn't use the Physion (E16) controller that everyone else is using, IIRC.
