I'll have to look at my board again. I thought that the chipset shroud cover was made of plastic. What I disliked it was to add an SSD, I had to
1). Remove video card to gain access to chipset shroud
2). Remove chipset shroud (2 screws) to gain access to 1 of the 2 screws on the NVMe cover
3). Remove the two screws holding down the NVMe cover.
I know the covers over the NVMe's are heatsinks....and that's a good idea.
