Hi,
Not sure what the deal with temp 2 is anyway it's crazy different from temp 1.
Hi,
Not sure what the deal with temp 2 is anyway it's crazy different from temp 1.
After two months of using my new Ryzen 3800X, I myself discovered that the only viable way to keep CPU temps down when running Folding@Home 24/7 and the stock Wraith Prism cooler was to go into my BIOS and disable Core Performance Boost so that my clock speed doesn't jump to and stay at 4.2GHz from baseline 3.9GHz. Now my max CPU temps stay around 65-70°c instead of hitting 80-85°c in a 23°c room. It may be an Unpopular Opinion, but I feel that the cooler temp is worth it... I don't notice any usable difference in everyday tasks with disabling boost.
Me too, I only use the dark theme, black on SevenForums and the gray skin on TenForums. I have practically begged John to add the black skin to TenForums
Surprisingly, the 970 Pro runs at 34c at idle, but then the X299 board has a fan in a good location and the board came with a heat sink. Most boards are now coming with them.
The Z170 is not so M.2 friendly, even with the assist fan the 960 ran at 40c +, I like having the 860 Pro in there much better, rarely goes over 30c, and I felt no real speed differnce, so I`ll stick with the 860.
Hi,
Nice Tommie
