I don't even try to look for those chips anymore,I'm very happy you were able to snag one.
If i do grab a 5000 series won't be a 5950x ,I feel there is no point to buying that chip for the price point.
The real star is the 5900x with it matching the 3950x in every way but better IPC for cheaper than a 5800x Surprisingly
I compared the 3800X to the 5800X & the 3800X is 1.6GT/s faster than the 5800X, so would be better for me to just get a 3900XT since it's the same price in the UK to buy a 3900XT instead of the 5800X ?

Stock is available but you have to have the money to pay for them there & then.

I don't care about the money it's about finding one at a reasonable price and respective seller.
Also i should add ,I really can't tell the difference in fps unless i'm benching or have a counter going

I honestly think i am good though 3950x and a 3090 is no lazy bones either and the current state of hardware i'm better off

Yeah, I never have tried keeping up. I wouldn't upgrade from where you are. My kid is on a 3800x from a year ago and no sense in upgrading him. I was coming from his previous core i5-6500.....to my ryzen 9 5900x.....so a pretty large upgrade there.

My survey showed the 5800X is faster both on single core performance and overall benchmark results.

From what I can see the 5800X only wins on single core performance against the 3900XT, this is an old argument I mean what uses single core these days ?

The is deffinitely not enough performance gain for my to upgrade to a 5000 series, I will wait for at least a 50% gain with an 8-core.

Well I found in the UK the sellers, I see selling them at around the recomended RRP the 3800X is only 10 more than RRP, not much to pay but would sooner wait for the prices to go down quite alot.

Probably because of 3700x it's not doing almost anything for me. Best part is CCX setting where I can set highest boost. Memory won't budge to any better settings than before.

AMD is producing AGESA like on Ford assembly line. Can't even find what's it's all about.
