Merry Christmas

Well, I got lucky and found a generous scalper in my area who bought both the CPU and GPU I wanted and he made me a deal. I just ordered the remainder of my hardware. Should have my new box built in the next 10 days or so.

Here is what I am building

1. Fractal Design Meshify S2 in white
2. Seasonic GX850 fully modular power supply
3. be Quiet Dark Rock Pro 4 air cooler
4. Asus Rog Strix x570-e Gaming mobo
5. AMD Ryzen 9 5900x
6. EVGA Nvidia 3080 FTW3 Ultra Gaming
7. G.Skill 64GB DDR4-3600 Ripjaws V
8. 2TB WD Black SN850 NVMe.

Yeah, will post some. Gonna start on build tomorrow. Moving 16gb of DDR-2400 from another machine so I can get this one posting and get my wiring in place. Will also put in a temporary 500gb sata ssd so I can verify all hardware works. Should give me something to play with while I wait for RAM and NVMe to arrive.

So far so good on the new build. Got it all together and it posted just fine. Box is pretty much silent...so I am really happy about that.

Just running a pair of 140mm intakes in the front, with the single 140mm exhaust in the back. Front of case is mesh, as is top. My cooler is the dark rock pro 4, which runs a pair of fans (135mm in the center and a 120mm at the front to help with RAM clearance).

The Ryzen 9 is idling at 34-36C. The EVGA 3080 FTW3 Ultra is idling about 41C. All fans are off until GPU is over 50C.

Not tweaking much of anything at present since I have a pair of old G.Skill DDR4-2400Mhz chips in it at present and a 512GB Sandisk SATA SSD. I'll start tweaking and such in about a week when the other parts come.
