With my OC through CCX i see 81c max but when i changed the settings and ran a few benches it went up to 83c
I left CCX VID auto i normally set it right under my core voltage that is where it lightens up
X73 Kraken is doing pretty well keeps temps within range i just worry about the liquid reaching 42c while gaming but CPU temps go from 58-62c Gaming ?????
Even '80s is not problem with manual OC, just with auto settings.

That's why i put everything in myself seems to be a lot better for the chip and voltage its excessive even with my Daughters 3700x 1.44 out the box i took it down to 1.35 it only boost to 4.4 Ghz anyway that should be plenty of juice
Will be cheaper for sure but Radeon/AMD always used more power and run hotter than comparable Nvidia.
In the past, I have had much better luck with Nvidia drivers in Linux than I ever did AMD. So, haven't used AMD cards in forever. I think my last Radeon was an ATI Radeon 1950 or something like that.

Don't know about Nvidia but there's still a Linux problem with AMD GPUs, I had to drop Mint back to 18.3 for lack of drivers.

I have several aging HEDT systems (almost 4 years old), running 7th Gen HEDT CPUs. For longer than I can remember I've wanted to dump Intel.
But Intel are releasing yet another 14nm CPU, without PCIe4.0 support, and where I am the prices drop...
I see new discussions of forced windows updates.
I'm wondering ... where do these updates come from?
What specific domain name(s)?
Which specific IP address(es)?
I want to initiate a serious talk about updating drivers on Windows 10. Some of you use tools for updating, some of you don't recommend tools. Some of you recommend the WU version of the drivers, some of you recommend the OEM drivers and some of you...
As part of the creators update, you can create "folders" on the start menu now by dropping one application on top of another application. I do like the concept, but I sure wish that I could fire up the particular application by clicking directly...
